First year competing at the Vermont Open against a lot of rad girls! It was nice to meet a bunch of East Coast girls. These girls welcomed me with open arms excited that I lived in California and was from Hawaii. They really liked that I had traveled out there to compete in the Retro Pipe and Slalom event in Pro Class. I managed to walk away with 9th at the Retro Pipe and 11th at the Slalom. I had a good time at Stratton! Made new friends and saw a few old ones.
I was so excited because it was the last Rev Tour Pipe Stop of the season and at this contest I had managed to progress quite a bit with new tricks in the bag. It was a very foggy day where the rain had set in with winds and little snow left on grass. All that was left was a few street style rail features, jumps and of course the pipe. After the 2nd Annual Boreal Banked Slalom that occurred the day before I was ready the next day for the Mammoth Mountain Rev Tour Pipe Qualifiers. Was pleased on taking home 1st place at the Rev Tour Pipe Qualifiers and goggles the week before my Birthday! It was a sunny day with an amazing pipe!
